Get to Know Dr. Duke Doan

Dr. Doan has been practicing dentistry for over 15 years and has experience in a wide variety of settings. More importantly, he is great with patients and has worked with children, the elderly, and everyone in between. His passion for dentistry has impacted many people, helping them recover and maintain their oral health. His reputation has been built on the trust and respect of the communities he has served, and you can start getting to know him below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
After working as a Perfusionist, operating a machine that keeps patients alive during open-heart surgery, Dr. Doan switched to a field where he could work directly with everyday people.
Dr. Doan’s long-term goal is to be able to help and have an impact on underserved individuals, particularly those in Third World countries. He has done a mission trip to Vietnam to help poor and orphaned children, and he is involved with the Hand in Hand group for local missions in the DFW area each year.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Growing up in Arlington, Texas, Dr. Doan earned his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Texas. He went on to earn his degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. Dr. Doan then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Texas Houston School of Dentistry and has owned three dental practices throughout his career.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Doan is greatly involved in his church and part of the choir. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time with family and friends.
