Dr. Ruchita Shah is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment where patients of all ages feel comfortable and cared for. Since joining Pecan Tree Dental, she has enjoyed working alongside a team that makes every day rewarding and collaborative. She values the variety that dentistry brings, from connecting with patients from different backgrounds to performing a wide range of treatments, all while continuing to grow her skills and provide high-quality care.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Shah discovered her interest in dentistry while studying biology in college. She knew she wanted a career that would allow her to apply science in a meaningful, hands-on way while directly helping others. Dentistry stood out because it offered the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients while improving both their oral health and overall confidence.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Shah earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) from the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth before going on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Western University of Health Sciences in California. She is experienced in many aspects of general dentistry, including smile design, and is certified in Invisalign and nitrous oxide sedation. She also enjoys working with children and providing care for patients of all ages. Dr. Shah is a member of both the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Originally from Gujarat, India, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with her husband, who works in the IT field, and their young daughter, who keeps life fun and full of energy. Outside the office, she loves traveling, staying active, and reading—especially when it comes to astrology, which is one of her unique interests.
