Dr. Quinn J. Smith

“Beautiful and well-planned dentistry can truly change lives for the better--that’s one thing I love about my profession.”
Dr. Smith says there is no better feeling in the world than uplifting someone’s health, appearance, and self-confidence at the same time. He’s made it his mission in life to dispel the notion that dentistry is super scary, doing everything he can to ensure his patients’ treatments are as enjoyable and gentle as possible.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Smith’s older brother was in dental school when he was in high school, and Dr. Smith went to visit him after graduation. He was impressed with the school and by what dentists do—it instantly appealed to him. He didn't know back then that he had found his calling, but it’s all so clear now. He loves working with his hands, getting to know and serve people, and collaborating with his patients to achieve their desired results.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After doing his undergrad at Boise State University, Dr. Smith earned his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Over the course of his 15+ year career, he has dedicated himself to improvement and continuing education, having completed several courses focused on a wide variety of subjects including cosmetic dentistry, smile makeovers, dental implants, bone grafts, PRF, IV sedation, and clear aligner orthodontics. He’s also an active member of the American Dental Association and Texas Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Smith grew up in Idaho on a small family farm with a Jersey milk cow that had to be hand milked every morning and evening. He married his beautiful wife, Rachel, in 2010 on October 10th (10/10/10…a coincidence!), and they are now the proud parents of three boys and one girl. While Dr. Smith enjoys reading, biking, hiking, and swimming, his favorite thing to do by far is spend time with his family, whether this involves playing a variety of sports, visiting new locations together, or getting silly at home with their karaoke machine.
