Dental Implant Dentist in Grand Prairie
Get to Know Dr. Duane K. Taylor

Dr. Taylor brings over 40 years of experience to our practice. Throughout his career, he has helped thousands of patients restore their oral health and confidence. Highly accomplished in implant dentistry, orthodontics, and complex oral surgery (including wisdom teeth extractions), he gives our patients easier access to more procedures. This allows people to avoid most referrals and always work with the team they know and trust.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Taylor’s older brother was a dentist, and while in high school, his father also encouraged him to consider dentistry. Dr. Taylor says he is so grateful for them, as he has enjoyed the dental profession ever since. He believes that true happiness in life comes from the giving of our time and talents to bless the lives of others. His desire to serve through dentistry motivates him to continue learning new procedures and advanced techniques to this day so he can offer even more to his patients.
Dr. Doan’s long-term goal is to be able to help and have an impact on underserved individuals, particularly those in Third World countries. He has done a mission trip to Vietnam to help poor and orphaned children, and he is involved with the Hand in Hand group for local missions in the DFW area each year.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Taylor graduated from the Baylor College of Dentistry in 1981. Over the decades, he has completed literally hundreds of hours of continuing education. He’s done over 60 hours of training focused on dental implant surgery through the Trinon Collegium Practicum and 300 hours on orthodontics with the American Orthodontic Society. He holds Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry (and will earn his Mastership in June 2026) and is an Academic Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Taylor now places over 130 dental implants each year with an impressive 98% success rate. He’s able to handle all phases of the treatment from beginning to end in addition to providing all types of bone grafts, enabling many patients to get implants who previously couldn’t.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When he isn’t taking care of patients, Dr. Taylor spends his free time with his dear wife, children, and grandchildren, all of whom he is very proud of! He also enjoys swimming, playing the piano, exploring new destinations, and helping others through church service.
